Due to its colossal height and it curious pyramidal shape many legends have arisen around its existence and as such it has become symbolic of the Balearic Islands.

Until 2016 the island was inhabited by herds of goats but governmental officials decided to have them culled in order to allow the local flower and plant population to recover. Also, a particular species of intense blue lizard lives amongst its rocks.

Over the summer many are those who visit this majestic place to enjoy the sunset, reflect, celebrate in the moonlight or allow the atmospheric energy to invade them. Many famous artists have been inspired by the rock, for example the musician and composer Mike Oldfield used a photo of the island for his album cover Voyager.

It is clear that this place is magical and we recommend you organise a visit with us during your stay in Ibiza.
