Legendary restaurants you simply must visit on Ibiza - Second Part

We continue with the series of Restaurants of Ibiza that you will love to know.
If you have already seen the previous 5, we propose 5 more options to enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

La Escollera
 – Open all year round in wonderful surroundings, La Escollera’s menu offers Mediterranean cuisine at exceptional prices on the beach at Es Cavallet, in Ses Salines natural park.

Although the beach is always full of people in summer, with its white tablecloths, flowers and Balinese teak tables, it has been offering an oasis of peace for more than 20 years.

Open all year round, it is frequented by residents of the island who can enjoy Grandma’s paellas, vegetables from the market garden and rock fish in winter too, as it has a spacious lounge with sea views.

Sa Punta – An Ibizan classic on Talamanca beach, this amazing restaurant offers 5-fork service, with impeccable attention and spectacular views of Ibiza town and its marina.

Fresh fish and shellfish, farm-reared meat and fresh local products served in cool, relaxing surroundings.

Three different cuisines in ambiances with entirely distinctive decoration:

  • Fine Dining: Mediterranean cuisine with ambiance and DJ music
  • Ginger: top-class Asian cuisine from 7pm
  • Patchwork Rooftop: Lebanese cuisine and cocktails until 3 in the morning

Sa Caleta – A historic sailors’ refuge with a terrace on Es Bol beach provides the setting for this restaurant where you can enjoy the best traditional Ibizan Mediterranean cuisine all year round. The garden, with loungers, is the perfect place to enjoy an aperitif or drink in the shade of the pines and junipers during the day, the concerts organised for summer nights, and even a relaxing massage on Thursday evenings.

Delicious starters like sea cucumber, Ibiza whitebait and griddled sardines, followed by grilled fish, caldereta fish stews, rice dishes and bullit de peix (boiled fish), finished off with a Caleta coffee: an Ibizan punch invented by the restaurant half a century ago.

Bambuddha – A completely different concept in the middle of the countryside at km 5 of the Sant Joan road in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. A Balinese pagoda brought from Indonesia, Mediterranean/Oriental fusion cuisine which the owners have christened Mediterrasian, and the Asian concept of sharing dinner make this spectacular restaurant one of the most special in Ibiza.

A restaurant cum temple, where you can sample a variety of flavours which will transport you directly to Asia at its most authentic.

Casa Colonial – As its own advertising says: This restaurant has been a meeting place for those who know how to enjoy life and good food since 2001.

On the slopes of hills covered in pines at km 2 of the Santa Eulària des Riu road. In its Balinese garden in summer or in its glazed Ibizan interior in winter, it offers a fixed-price menu from which you can choose salads, carpaccios and tartares as starters and meat and fish main courses.
