Beach restaurants to eat in Ibiza and Formentera

Tags

One of the most frequent questions we get asked by our clients when they hire a boat to explore Ibiza and Formentera is where to eat. That’s why we’re going to let you in on the best beach restaurants for enjoying a meal in Ibiza and Formentera.

Beach restaurants for eating out in Ibiza

Land ahoy! As being on a boat is such a great experience, you probably won’t want to dock and head onto the beach. If this is the case, we’d recommend you order food using a dinghy service offered by many restaurants, including Es Torrent (d’es Torrent beach, specialising in fish, seafood and rice dishes) and Es Xarcu (fresh fish from the island). Both are perfect for tasting the island’s most typical produce.

If on the other hand you’d like to spend some time at the beach, we can recommend two fantastic restaurants where you can enjoy some of Ibiza’s tastiest rice dishes: Es Boldadó and Sa Caleta. The first is located on the spectacular cala d’Hort beach, one of the most picturesque on the island. Sa Caleta is one of Ibiza’s most historic restaurants, famous for having invented the famous “Café Caleta”, a type of coffee queimada that’s very popular on the island. At Sa Caleta, you’ll be able to taste exquisite rice dishes and paellas – this restaurant’s speciality.

Beach restaurants for eating out in Formentera

Whether you’d prefer to enjoy your favourite food on the boat or head onto land to spend some time at the beach, here are our favourite restaurants in Formentera. If you want to discover some of the island’s most mythical restaurants, we’d recommend you book a table at Juan y Andrea (on the paradisiac Illetes beach), where you’ll be able to enjoy the best Mediterranean dishes on the island.

On the same beach, you’ll come across one of the trendiest restaurants on the island, Beso Beach, where you can enjoy a delicious range of food and one of the liveliest sunsets in Formentera. Pirata Beach and Es Molí de Sal are also located in Illetes. The first still conserves the island’s hippy roots and it’s perfect for a more relaxed meal. At Es Molí de Sal you’ll be able to sit down, relax and enjoy some of Formentera’s most typical fish and rice dishes.

Restaurant Es Caló is another of Formentera’s gastronomic temples and it’s the perfect place to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine in one of the most picturesque coves. On Es Pujols beach, Chezz Gerdi surprises with its fusion of Italian and Spanish flavours. Lastly, on the charming Cala Saona, the restaurant at hotel Cala Saona offers a variety of traditional Mediterranean dishes at lunch time and transforms into a sophisticated spot to enjoy dinner in the evening.

We hope this selection of beach restaurants comes in handy during your next boat trip around Ibiza or Formentera. Also, at Coral Yachting, we offer our catering service and extensive drinks selection. Don’t hesitate to contact us!
