Legendary restaurants you simply must visit on Ibiza - First Part

Are you going to visit Ibiza? Do you love good food? Well, you will enjoy a destination full of exceptional restaurants and well known for its excellent diversity, style and high quality.

We are going to give you some tips for enjoying genuine, traditional Ibizan cuisine.

Es Boldado

Standing on a cliff at Cala d’Hort, in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, it has a dining room and terrace where you can enjoy spectacular views of the islets Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, as well as unrivalled sunsets.

Excellent seafood starters, rice dishes, caldereta fish stews, grilled fish and meat such as Ibizan suckling pig, served all year round in a rustic atmosphere in unique surroundings. Do not forget to ask for a Cafe Caleta to enjoy with one of their home made desserts.

Ca’s Pagés 

40 years of home cooking and traditional Ibizan dishes specialising in flame-grilled meat. It also has a wood oven. In a family house at km 10 of the Sant Carles road in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu.

An unexpected heaven between the stone walls and fireplaces of the ground floor of the house and the labyrinth of trees in the garden, decorated with farm implements.

You can enjoy friendly service, plentiful portions and traditional desserts.

Neither bookings nor credit cards are accepted, but it is worth bringing some cash and waiting for a table.

Las Dos Lunas 

This iconic restaurant stands in a garden among vines and bougainvilleas, surrounded by high stone walls. Since 1981 it has welcomed personalities from the world of music and film, as well as celebrities from other fields.

You can find bread and focaccia made in the restaurant’s own wood oven, home-made pasta, meat and fish. Risottos are a speciality.

Located in the municipality of Sant Rafael, 100 metres from Amnesia, its Italian cuisine made with products collected from its own market garden makes it a favourite for residents of the island. 

Can Baláfia

The lamb chops cooked on a wood-fired grill and tomato salad have made the reputation of this simple establishment, built more than 30 years ago beside an orange plantation at km 15.4 of the Sant Joan road in Sant Llorenç.

A family restaurant with local and international diners, with a terrace ideal for enjoying a wide variety of flame-grilled meat accompanied by salads and potatoes at more than reasonable prices. 

Trattoria del Mar 

Opened in 2007 in Marina Botafoch, nearby our office. This Italian restaurant outstands for its home-made seafood pasta and fish, as well as Mamma’s unbeatable variety of desserts.

Awarded a Sun two years running by the Repsol Guide, this beautiful place enjoys incomparable views Dalt Vila (Old City) just opposite the port.

Visited by celebrities from various sectors, it has a fixed-price menu at midday allowing you to enjoy different à la carte dishes and some delicious desserts.
